Voting for President of the US

It is your civic responsibility to vote for the President of the US. The vote for the highest office in the United States should never be taken lightly. I have heard many people say that they're all the same or my vote does not count, they are all crooked and/or out of touch with what it is really like to live in the real US as a citizen. Many vote because they like the person not paying attention to what their views are on major issues that will affect your life. Your vote does count because it gives you a right to verbalize things that are going on in our country that you like and do not like.

I say really do your homework

Should you vote for a president just because you like their personality?
The answer to this is NO. You can like the person but he may not make a good president.
What issues are important to you, the economy, the military, freedom in the constitution, healthcare or international issues.

Think about these issues:
Which candidate understands what it is like to be lower to middle class or poor in America?
I believe no candidate truly knows what it is like to live in middle and lower class America, How can you know unless you've actually lived it. What is it like to work a job that pays minimum wage and need food stamps to survive, not take a vacation or have enough money to buy gas to get to work. Not one government official could possible know what it is really like to actually live paycheck to paycheck. They have never lived like this in this day in time.

Do you feel like our government should be larger or smaller?
Romney is for smaller government and President Obama is all about large government.
Less government means less opportunity for corruption. More government means more taxes. I don't know about what you think but I would rather decide what my taxes should be spent.
 
As for balancing the budget we should hire ordinary Americans that live paycheck to paycheck to advise the President. They have more experience of how to live within a budget and cannot just print money they do not have when the balance is negative. They could teach our government a lot.

Decisions the President, Senators, congressmen and women make need to seek out and really listen to the Americans that actually live with their laws and legislation. Being poor or lower middle class in America is not as the government sees it because they think you should not have any problems. When you actually live it you know the real problems and faults within the system.

Kelly Says, "If you really want to know how to help Americans you should talk to and listen to what they have to say about it." "When you vote on November 6th this year vote on principles and not on personalities because we have to live with your choice the next 4 years."

Obama's world

You may think that Obama's change is for the best but is it really the change we want. In my community there are more people on the verge of losing the homes they have lived in for many years. I have lived in this community for 40 years and this loss of the American dream is not a good change.

One other point I would like to bring up is Obama's wife has walked into your home and taken away your freedom and people just let it go. The issue of taking away super-sized soda pops may seem small to you but this is an infringement on my right as an American to raise my family and make decisions for my family.

He is also showing no concern for our economy. Poor people mean his power is greater. He wants to be your children's father and Michelle wants to be their mother.

Just give this some thought if you have a mind that is not brainwashed already.

PS: Don't contact the President as he is busy playing golf and making us hate one another.

Idea in motion

When you feel you have found the one idea for a business on-line or retail the first thing that is required is some research. Is this something that meets the needs of many people. Needs is defined as something that they cannot live without or has to meet a required need. By searching the internet and doing research on keywords that relate to your business takes some time but it is a big part of the preparation phase to become successful. There is a lot to be said about the doer and the thinker.

A business plan is the next step so keep all your research records and do not make a plan harder than it is. We will discuss a step by step plan in later posts. Right now focus on making sure you have your idea or niche focused and make sure you are passionate about it as you'll be spending time, money eventually and all your energy to get it off the ground.

Unfortunately using totally free methods takes a lot of time and patience but feeling that persistence and the chance of the original American Dream still being a reality keeps me pushing forward. Having faith in people helping people and trying to forget all those that are trying to take away our control and confidence by replacing it with fear and chaos cannot stop the people.

The people are stronger than all the governments in the world and they'll keep pushing forward and doing their best. Do not let one little hurdle stop you because you can do anything if you are ready to really work for it.

Does anyone trust anyone

Our country needs to begin opening their eyes and the ordinary citizens of America need to speak out for our freedom and rights that are slowly being taken away. What is worse is that Americans are at the mercy of  employers as they control you beyond the workplace.

I am not against the employer as it is not their fault that they can't trust you. They can't eve trust elected officials to be honest. I just would like to know if they do not give you a job after checking the Fair Credit ACT due to medical history. I know its' not suppose to be a tool for discrimination but it could be used as one and you would never know it unless you check it frequently.

The Fair Credit Act is an invasion of privacy and an employer can find out anything they want to about you. Why do they need to know if you pay your bills or not? You are trying to get a job as you need money to survive. If you have unpaid medical bills listed on a credit report it could show that you have medical problems that may cause them to not hire you. Is this really fair? Just some things to think about.


Pre-employment drug screening test could be used as an invasion of privacy. Pre-employment drug screens could be used to hinder employers from giving you a job because the UA can show of a specific medical conditions which may cause their health insurance premiums to rise.

Anything to do with health insurance today is a bad word already. I have read some of the thousand pages of ObamaCare so you might want to read it before you say you want it. It sure is not for us. The UA can also show if you are on insulin, heart medication, anti-depressants or have other health issues that could harm your opportunity for employment.

A UA does not show alcohol. This is the most widely abused drug in America and kills more innocent people and tears apart more families than any other illegal drug. It is highly addictive and because it is legal makes this the most dangerous drug of them all. Alcohol has affected more families than any other drug in America.

Do you really think all this information is fair or forced just to get a job so you do it. Our rights are being taken because we need the job yet the more we let them have it will be expected or forced on us. We can't believe that our elected officials are honest and all the repercussions are wasteful government fallout spending.

Our government does not have to take UA's but most drug addicts are not people that can hold jobs or even look for one. Why can't the Fair Credit Act show an employer that you held jobs over 5 years at least. They don't even have to have official birth certificate but we cannot work without a Social Security Card. Does anyone trust the employee for a great work history or what they can do to help your company any more?

Honesty and the government job

The role models in this past 20 years have made it very difficult helping parents teach that lying and dishonesty are wrong. Everyday the television or internet has someone that has lied but recently they do not even have to look for the liars as they are found everywhere from all walks of life. It's out of control.

Professional athletes, actors and actresses should be positive role models to our children and honesty is expected. As for government officials holding positions of the highest offices in our country should be honest and trustworthy due to the position and as role models for our children. When you have several Presidents and government officials lie on the television without any remorse, apology or any attempt to do the right thing is harmful for our children and to other countries as well. America has some of the GREATEST LIARS IN THE WORLD.
Here are just a few:

• Lying is okay when your the President of the United States or in a government office.
• Dishonesty being is and there is a upsetting double standard created.
• It is okay for Americans to lie but shame on us if we do.
• If Americans are dishonest to other Americans then how good is their word in other countries.
  Status means you can lie.
• They think it is okay if your a government official as they never apologize or show any signs of remorse unless it seriously affects their position.
• They have no consequences as they do not have to provide documents that American citizens must when they lie or cheat.
• If you have money and power it is okay to lie and be dishonest.

Government double standards: Lie once, public is made aware of, lie twice more news coverage, lie three times still have your job, public takes notice, still has job.

Employees reality: Lie and/or cheat immediately terminated.
If I did not have my birth certificate or other legal documents I would not even have the job. Changing the way a word was defined to make a lie sound better,  any sexual misconduct, at-will State, TERMINATION.

As children truth and honesty were values and morals that our parents taught us consequences would be enforced when we told lies. In real life this holds the is reality. The government officials need to start really paying attention to and changing how they are being viewed by the American Public because our fears of security have greatly depleted and our hope in honesty is basically gone when it has anything to do with the government. The TRUTH will always win. No one expects perfect because we are human but if you are caught with your hand in the cookie jar, ADMIT IT.

An angry citizen that just wants to work

I was let go at age 49 or should I say terminated for silly reasons. I saved a adolescents life and did not fill out the correct paperwork. Appealing the decision for denial of unemployment even the UI judge agreed it was a silly reason and awarded me unemployment.

Due to being terminated occurring for the first time in my life at age 49 1/2 after working at this facility for 6 1/2 years I feel that the supervisor that did not like me personally is one thing holding me back from getting employment combined with my age now 51. Other co-workers would vouch for me as a good employee if they did not fear getting fired.

The small groups of people that are getting jobs in America are age 30-35. I have many friends that are unemployed and this unstable economy has many of us on the brink of losing everything we worked hard to get. Along with fear and depression we have sold everything we can just to live.

My husband is disabled and counts on my ability to work to keep our home. I have been honest on applications and was told by a workforce employee that I should not fill out the optional questions of color and sex as this could be what is hurting me from getting an interview.

I tried to find funds that could help me start a business as I feel that this is the backbone of America. Of course the government bailed out major corporations but will not help anyone with funding a new business. We have to help ourselves as the government is not for the poor working or unemployed American.

I live in Kansas and feel the unemployed numbers not correct or real. If the government really wants to help Americans then he should help us start businesses by giving us grants and low interest loans. Do you know if there are any programs that can help you get a business started?

I feel that Americans need to change the economy and the government needs to help fund American small businesses instead of worrying about giving Chinese women one million dollars to reduce alcohol abuse in China. How does this help Americans?

I wish the government would hire poor or unemployed Americans to be a check and balance employee that follows and watches our Senators and Congressmen and women making sure they are doing their job. Does this make sense? We have people watching every move we make and holding us accountable. They do a performance evaluation and if we are lucky we get a 3% raise.

There is no one that watches our government officials giving them a performance evaluation every 6 months that holds them accountable. They vote themselves a large raise but do not give a cost of living increase for people on Social Security.

They have not went to the store and bought a gallon of milk recently. We have to drink powered milk to have milk and that was given to us by a church. This is really a sad state of affairs when an American that is honest and hard working just wants to work cannot get a job.

I have actively looked for over 2 years now. It has become a personal vendetta for me to search for the reasons I can't get hired and to get a job that pays for my experience. There is discrimination going on in the job world but you can't give a specific example as the employer does not have to give you a reason.

Kansas is an "at-will” state so you can be fired just because. Sorry to go on but I have always got a job in the past without problem so what is the difference today. Age discrimination plays a big role as insurance goes up when there are claims and older people are more likely to get sick but they are also more reliable. It’s a catch 22 and the simple solutions are being ignored like helping people start businesses to employ other Americans.

July 4th, Independence Day

The 4th of July is more than firecrackers, drinking and family celebrations. This day is an American holiday is the birthday of our nation. In 1776 we declared our independence from Britain. Being the "land of free and the home of the brave" many people from other countries came to America to share in this dream. The Declaration of Independence of the 13 colonies was written in congress on July 4th, 1776.

Today more than ever we need to get back to the basics of what "Independence" really means for our nation today. We have came along way since this was written but are these powerful words still meaningful and applicable to American today? Read this part of the declaration and really think about it.

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. 

For this one day can we put aside our differences of being a Democrat or Republican and focus on what the words Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness really means today. For a real change to occur we must look back into what our forefather felt strong enough to fight for and many Americans have lost their lives for FREEDOM for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.


Take this one day and really look at what the Declaration of Independence means to you and how it applies to today. As a parent it is your job to teach your children at home strong morals and core values so they can question what is being taught verses believing it is true if the teacher says it. Some teachers may intentionally or unintentionally allow their own political views and opinions to dictate what they teach your child about politics and history. 

A good teacher will teach the unbiased facts of America, history, government and politics allowing a child to develop and form their own opinions regarding politics and the government. A child's mind is open, eager and easy to believe what a teacher says to be true. During these critical years of life a child/adolescent begins to search for the answer of who they are as a individual. Everything they believe in will be based on these core beliefs and values which should come from the home, not the teachers. 

Ask your child everyday what he/she has learned in school in detail and keep the lines of communication open. Do not accept "nothing" for an answer. You want your child to be who they are because they truly believe in it and not just a follower just because its' the thing to do. If it is different then yours don't get angry or critical but initiate an open discussion and by listening this will encourages growth and gaining knowledge.
