American's need to change the unemployment situation without the assistance of the government. Waiting for a solution from the government could mean losing your home, going hungry and no help before you cannot get out of the vicious cycle of debt. We need to get creative in how we do it. Technology has changed employment and the number of employees a business requires forever.
Jobs that require an employee to do service work for people will be in need. Baby boomers are aging and want to stay at home may need a little help to keep them from having to give up their independence. Service work is one area that computers cannot replace.
Bending with the changing times has proved difficult for the unemployed and the people that are over 50 years of age. These times are even hard on the employed as there are many people ready to take one persons job and you are replaceable. God Bless the employer that remember the employees (people, individuals) that put in 110% helping the company grow and added to the success.
It does not help when companies write ads "unemployed need not apply". When hearing comments like this it really puts a twisted perspective on how companies have forgot where they came from and where they would not be if it were not for the consumer buying their products or services. A bad economy can bring out the worse but it can also bring out the best.
