OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW

The past is gone and the new year brings new hopes of a better year. Some things still will linger into the new year such as being unemployed but with faith all will be well. It is a good time to begin to think about what your New Years Resolutions will be. Some of the things on my list will be trying to stop smoking as I cannot afford it and my health becomes more important with age.

The next item on my list is to strengthen my faith in people and even more so in myself. Faith seems easier to have when all is going well in your world but not when you are facing the New Year with the same problems. I believe that this year will require a lot more faith due to our economy and the problems that face us as a country.

Worrying never accomplished anything so this year I want to be more grateful. As long as I can wake up everyday and feel that I tried my best yesterday I have nothing to regret tomorrow. Changing the way you think is a process that takes time. When you have been hurt in the past by a mean old person that totally rearranged your life in some form or another you have to learn forgiveness. To forgive is growth and all the effort you put into learning to forgive gives you new strength to handle obstacles in the future. 

If you read any of my articles you can tell by one article about "Mini Hitlers" that I had a bad experience with a boss. Today even though I am unemployed I am grateful to her for letting me out of the prison in my mind. Their are many good people in the world and I am sure that I will find a new employer that will restore my faith in bosses. "OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW" as the saying goes. Research could take days or even months which could hinder you from ever exploring this option. From the kitchen counter to the checkout counter it is all here in one book. Just think one simple idea put into action could make you go from rag to riches in no time at all. This is great option to unemployment and eventually could lead to creation of jobs in our economy. I have just began to research Angel Investors which help you get capital turning your ideas into reality. You have to keep an open mind in this economy and food is something that people need so if it tastes good the product eventually sells itself by word of mouth. Ways to Survive Unemployment

Being unemployed for over a year now I am really frightened. I looked at my checkbook and began subtracting all the things I must pay and money is rapidly disappearing. I began to think about having to give up my satellite TV as it is a want not a need. Realizing I am slowly giving up all the things I enjoy is depressing. I do not go to the movies anymore as my bank account will now allow me so I gave that up. I don't go out and eat anymore. Even the kind of food I purchase from the store is not what I enjoyed when I was employed and bringing in an income.

Why should I have to give up my only source of entertainment? Because I have to be responsible and I want to keep my home. Watching the evening news even makes me more depressed as they say unemployment is about 10% and I can tell as the job offers are not exactly flying in. This has led me to explore more options because I deserve the right to escape from reality by watching a movie. I came across several options verses cable or satellite and they are more affordable. I will try the sites that offer a more affordable way to still watch movies just on my PC verses TV.

Some of you may laugh at me as you probably already do this anyway but to me it was a great way to save money and still have something I enjoy in life. I will survive this temporary condition yet and still have the things I enjoy. I will give it a try as it is better than nothing. HOW ONE INTERVIEW INCREASED MY HOPES

On Wednesday I received a phone call for an interview. The next day at 3 pm. I was there full of confidence and reading to give it my best. In the past I sounded too desperate and did not stress my talents outside of the job description. Being yourself is important and when you want to sell yourself to a company it is not good to sell short just to get the job. I do not want a just a job but career that I can invest my talents and skills to make a difference.

I have many marketable skills and even though I am a little shy I want to work for a company that will encourage me grow as a person and an employee. I also want to find an employer that will keep me as I am dedicated and want to stay with them for years. Forget this hopping around. I want to be an asset that will help the company grow and contribute to its' continued success. My abilities go beyond the job description but it is hard to put that into words. Personal branding is thinking of yourself as a high quality product except you have ambitions, feelings and are a human being.

Being human gives you qualities that are hard to put on paper. It is actions that can only be seen once you are working for the company. I want the company to trust me as much as I want to trust them. I do not want them to exchange me for a person just because they can pay them a lower wage to start. The ideal employer recognizes talent and uses it to his benefit. Does anyone know an employer like this? I know they are out there but when boss is good employees will stay and I understand why.

The success of a company is measured by not only making a lot more money but by when you never see an ad for employment unless it is to hire new employees.

MOTIVATION MOVING FORWARD

Instead of complaining about the overflowing garbage can as well as the housework that is creating clutter in my life and mind why don't I just do it. Normally I am an organized person and keep my house clean but lately I spend most of the day just sifting through my inbox full of useless e-mails. I am now motivated to move forward and hit delete without reading. You probably wondering why I don't just do the housework prior to looking on the computer as that would be the best answer.

FINDING A JOB is what is most important to me at this time and it takes time to create resumes and apply on-line and even then you have to hit "no thanks" due to the advertising for schools and whatever else they decide to place before you to get to the actual application process. I am now trying to block messages which does not work very much. I am totally frustrated with the worthless garb that is floating on the internet.

In my fantasy world I would like to create a product that could filter my incoming messages allowing one e-mail with the product versed 27 people selling the exact same product I could make a fortune. If anyone knows of a product like this please let me know before I become filthy rich on this idea. Mind you please do not steal my idea as I have a patten.

I know that it is not effective to cancel a subscription from one person because I am placed on another persons e-mail list selling the exact same product. Just one inquiry into an eye catching e-mail and there it goes again 50 people offering the same product. I want to create software that will stop the same products verses just blocking the persons e-mail.

Finding a job is very time consuming and important to me at this point in life. I want to let the employers that respond back with an e-mail even  if I did not get the job is very motivational and much appreciated. ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS A JOB

To all the employers I wish you would have a prosperous year. It's a fact that America needs jobs and the only way the economy will change is the employers ability to hire new employees. The government gave themselves a raise when many Americans are trying hard just to survive. I wonder how many of them had count their change to buy a gallon of milk. Instead of blaming anyone I want to be a part of the solution. The people of America are really strong and survivors and you can verify this by our history. As one of the unemployed Americans, all I want for Christmas is a job.

Just give me the opportunity and I will use all my talents to generate income for your company. A job is more than just a paycheck to me. It's a personal investment in giving a company the biggest part of my waking life. I will show up to work each day ready to get right to work putting a smile on my face. Always striving for perfection but remembering I am human. I am always willing to do more than what is expected of me. Given the opportunity to use my knowledge and numerous hidden talents I will exceed your job description and expectations. My eagerness to learn and optimistic mood energizes the other employees.

I just need the chance to get my feet in the door and get mt feet wet so to speak. After learning how your company runs then watch out as your mission, vision and values become my goals. A lot of employers would be surprised how a dedicated employee wants the company to exceed. A growing company means success and more jobs. A supervisor that has confidence in the employee giving them room to grow and utilizing their hidden strengths and talents will be blessed indeed.

Most everyone needs higher goals to reach and this encourages growth. This is a win-win situation for everyone. A companies success leads to job growth and there you have it a thriving economy. The answer to the perfect career. It's nice to be treated well by your employer as happy employees more productive. Companies that succeed and are held in high esteem in the community.

The best Christmas gift you can give someone unemployed a job. They will be more grateful as you gave them a chance and they have the ability to house, feed and care their family becoming a contributing member of society verses a drain. Imagine the possibilities and enjoy the gift of giving.
